yesterday...
I felt the pull, to get off the highway on the way home...
and travel a different way...
knowing without knowing...
there was a reason...
and as soon as I saw this pow-wow...
I knew why...
I walked around...
humble...
grateful...
the drumming...
the energy...
filled my soul...
I shed a few tears of gratitude...
and was on my way...

how I am moved by the simple...
how I am moved by the subtle...
picking up pebbles...
toes in the grass...
my heart beats differently...
but no one seems to hear it like I do...
to share this peek into my new studio...
and to say that I'm finding my way...and even though I'm completely exhausted as I'm running on empty these days, when my head hits the pillow I find myself burrowing in for sweet, peaceful nights sleeps...even though they are short, they are dreamy, and exactly what I've needed.
I've been creating a safe haven, to guard my heart, soul & mind...self-nurture & healing being my priority for the first time in my whole life...
grateful to the lovely souls who continue to hold the space for me...
to those who send me text messages reminding me of their care & concern...
to those who offer to lend a hand...(even though I usually decline, the fact that there are those who are reaching out to help means the world to me)...
and to the wise & chill friend, who guards my heart & has no expectations of me whatsoever, who I can just "be" with...who has brought me sounds & smells that fill my loft & my soul with a renewed sense of the peace and balance that I had a tiny taste of not so long ago...and a gentleness that envelops me, but in no way smothers me...allowing me the physical & mental freedom to feel the warmth of that glow and grow organically & freely, individually...finding my way...enjoying the journey...
It's been awhile since I've seen the deer around my house and woods, but this morning, I was sweetly surprised by not only the usual visitors, but also one similar to this guy with a large set of antlers. I've lived here for almost 4 years now and even though I have had many visits from many different deer, this was the first time one with antlers has come. So undeniably beautiful & timely...

This visit instantly meshed with something I was touched by yesterday. a dear friend posted a song on her blog that I had never heard, so I gave it a listen. The line that resonated with me the most was...
"I'm still a fire, unlit, ready to go"
What stirs the butterflies right now, is the perfect knowledge that the spark is coming. So close, I can feel it. So I'm paying special care & taking deep breaths to ensure that I remain centered in order to witness inside & out, the moment of connection.
Get your sunglasses people...it's going to burn bright...
