Happy Bumps...

Belly_at_29_weeks Well, I wasn't able to post from the road as I thought I would.  Somehow I couldn't get an internet connection at the hotel without a whole lot of grief!

I did get what I call a "happy bump" on the flight home.   That means a flight bump that doesn't greatly affect my travel adversely but results in a credit toward a future trip.

My "happy bump" became even happier when I realized that if I had I stayed on my original flight itinerary and not taken the bump, I would not have made it home last Sunday night!  The 3rd leg of my trip was cancelled until Monday night.

So - getting home on time with a credit toward a future flight beats sleeping in an airport & getting home a day late with no compensation at all for sure!

For those of you who have been asking to see it, I took this photo of my other happy bump this morning.   Me at 29 weeks pregnant.

Working on lots of fun stuff in my studio today - Getting ready for my Stampin' & Scrappin' clubs that meet this week, and putting together my Janaury AMStudio Papercrafting Kit.  Hoping to get it finalized in the next few days and posted for those of you anxious to order!   Have a great Monday!

Studio Sunday

100_5744 Here's a peek into my Studio today.  Cleaning up from yesterday's class and now switching gears to get ready for my trip to Palm Springs, CA!

Working on getting all my ducks in a row before I go - getting prepped with ideas for my meeting with the Product Design Team at Stampin' Up!, working on my swaps and layouts, laundry, packing etc.  Feels so good to sit in my clean, organized studio - so good that I might even sneak in a bit of non-work related scrapbooking today just for fun!  Feeling a general sense of warm, fuzzy, thankfulness that I get to do what I do!  What are you thankful for today?

Paints & brushes and pens, oh my!

Jan_5_project_365 Day 2 of my Project 365 - keeping me in line with my word, "schedule"!

I won't post my daily photos everyday as my main Blog entry, but I will always be updating my photo album in the left side bar titled "project 365" with them if you'd like to see how it comes along.

My open house today was a whirlwind of stamping fun and I thought my photo for the day would come from that event, but in all the buzz and excitement, I did not take any pictures!  Arrgh!

So my daily photo is a glimpse of happiness in my newly organized studio.  I am not great at organizing a room, that is my husband David's forte!  He can easily work one shelf at a time, while my brain is thinking about what I want on this shelf, but I want buttons in jars over there and I need my cutters here, etc.   Four days and a few tears later, my studio is just about the way I want it.  I'll share more photos in the next few days, but these little boxes make me so happy.  I made them last night and they are perfect for my paints, brushes and favorite journaling pens.  I got these little wooden boxes at the Christmas tree store on clearance for $1.69 each and they were painted on each side with tacky little baby teddy bears.  I simply covered them with this fabulous contact paper that I had bought months ago, not knowing what I'd use it for, but knowing that it matches the vibe I've got going in my studio.  Love them!

project 365...well 362 actually!

100_5726 As part of staying on task to keep focus on my word for 2008, "schedule" - I have decided to do a 365 project.  I heard about this from Ali & Donna. (Mine will actually be 362 days since I started today!)

Making a concious effort to take time to take a photo everyday should not be too hard, it seems I'm taking photos all the time as it is!  But I'm hoping that making it a a part of my daily "schedule" will accomplish several things.

1) I'll really be inspired to break out that Canon Rebel and figure out how to use it!

2) I'll make myself learn how to use Photoshop recently added to my laptop!

3) I'll have more "everyday life" photos to scrapbook!

4) I'll be taking time to recognize & record the inspirations big & small in everyday    life.

5) I'll become a better photographer.

All in all, I think it will be a fun process, and at the end of the year it will be fun to look back and see the evolution of it!  I created a new photo album in the left sidebar titled "project 365" for my photo a day album. i will post my photo entries here throughout the year.

Getting ready tonight for my "New Catalog Toast & Taste Open House" tomorrow - fun stamping Make & Takes for all who attend plus other fun surprizes!
